Back ring for a bread bag in the shape of the letter D. Serves to attach a shoulder strap. Made of 3 mm wire. The joint is welded. For one bread bag you need 2 rings. Price per 1 piece. We offer rings made of aluminum and steel. Aluminum ones have never been painted in the original. Steel ones are painted gray (Stumpfgrau — a standard colour for steel fittings of the German army after 1940).

Our copy of the ring is next to the original one on the bag.

Merchandising tips

Sew into the rear attachment tabs of a compatible German bread bag and pair with a bread-bag shoulder strap. For a complete repair, use two rear rings and check the supporting leather or canvas tabs; the larger front rings serve a different purpose.

Historical reference

Two small D-rings on the back of the German M31 bread bag accepted a detachable shoulder strap. They were separate from the front fittings used to carry a canteen and mess tin.
