A hook hook for a German infantry Y-belt made of aluminum. Independent development, not sold anywhere else. The brand of S&O AlMgSi. A magnificent replica, neat in size and appearance. Our hook is very durable, it cannot be bent or broken by hand, it perfectly withstands the load from the equipment.

The shapes of the hooks had a lot of minor differences, which depended both on the manufacturer and on the time of production. For example, early hooks had a rounded buckle, later the buckle shape became closer to a rectangular one. The swinging hook also changed: initially it had a different width (it was narrow at the bend, but wider on straight sections) and a rather complex shape of bends.

The replica we offer repeats the early hooks, which were produced for several years in the late 1930s, and since 1940 began to be made of steel. The photo shows a comparison of the copy and the original.

In 1940, hooks began to be made of steel. Archaeological practice shows that fittings made of aluminum and steel could be found on the same object, including as a result of repairs.
